Securities Litigation and Investment Disputes
We have tried cases in federal and state court and arbitrated cases in industry tribunals for over twenty years. We have represented plaintiffs in some cases; defendants in others. These cases run the gamut from:
• Ponzi Schemes to Variable Annuities
• Research and Development Limited Partnerships to Gold Mining Scams
• Movie Production Deals to Municipal Finance
• Dotcoms to Oil and Gas Partnerships
• Churning Cases to “Know Your Customer” Cases
• Pump and Dumps to Livestock Breeding Programs
Our clients have ranged from young professionals to elders and estates.
Some of our lawyers are qualified and chair industry arbitration tribunals which provide us valuable insight on how to best present or defend a case in these tribunals.
Our experience in this area of the law is longstanding and diverse. We obtained the first ever treble damage award for racketeering damages in an industry arbitration tribunal. We also successfully litigated a securities fraud case against a former lunar astronaut involving a research and development limited partnership.
Recent Successes
Recently, we have handled several mini-Madoff cases which have occurred in connection with the downturn in the economy. We also are currently handling several cases involving suitability concerns against investment professionals, and representing registered representatives against their firms.
